This may be way before your time, and you may not even have heard of these two guys, but they played a major role in my entertainment life and perhaps somewhat of one in your folks’.
In any case, they deserve to be appreciated by new generations … at a time when tap dancing seems to be dying out.

My 3-year-old loves tap dancing — has his own shoes. He’s also a major fan of “I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy,” and has requested my piano rendition of it at least 300 times.

Aubrey is also mad for Apollo 11 reenactments, and does them morning, afternoon and night with an old plastic model. He knows the three stages, the dockings of Eagle & Columbia and the return to earth, right up to splashdown. I took him to the Air and Space Museum at the Smithsonian last weekend, and he toured your Skylab. So elegant.
He is hoping to visit you…would very much like an explanation of the shape of the X-15′s wings. Hope you are well — and are you up for a visit soon?
